The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda is a powerful healing tool. It is a system that dates back 5000 years and it is translated as the „Knowledge of Life“ (ayu=life, veda=knowledge).It examines the physical constitution, emotional nature and spiritual outlook. In this yoga class we are going to work with breathing exercises and hatha asanas considering the actual season, state of the Moon, the times of the day, depending on the average age and general body type of the class.

Hatha is translated as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation. Hatha yoga is understanding the mechanics of the body, creating a certain atmosphere, and then using body postures to drive your energy in specific directions is what hatha yoga is about.

Tight hips, weak back and gluteal muscles are the symptom of our desk-bound modern life. Yogic tradition holds the hips as a storage ground for the life energy. When it is blocked we can store there also our negative feelings and pent-up emotions, especially ones related to control our lives.
Opening the chest builds trust towards our own future, and opening the hips creates space for the birth of new ideas and pathways, gives us access to freedom in the body and in our own unique expression.
Maintaining flexibility and stability in the hips is crucial for lower-back health, not to mention for cultivating overall freedom and ease in our bodies. Since the muscles of the buttocks span the hip joints, and the core muscles hug the spine all around, strengthening and stretching them are crucial to support and create stability for the whole back.

Mindfulness yoga je Hathayoga s prvkami mindfulness, všímavosti (lektor vás počas hodiny inštrukciami neustále nabáda pozorovať telo, myseľ, dych a tým napomáha udržovať našu pozornosť v prítomnosti. Hlavná časť hodiny je zameraná na fyzické pozície, záverečná časť na relaxáciu, pranayamu a krátku prácu s mysľou. Každý týždeň hodinu sprevádza iná téma.
